Life as a stylist at Daireds is a unique experience. The rewards are plenty—a paid apprenticeship to begin, progressing into Daireds "New Talent" program, with paid vacations, health insurance and a retirement plan just for starters. The expectations are high, but helping each new stylist succeed is what Daireds “New Talent” training is all about.

Required for all stylists seeking employment at Daireds, the six-month course for new employees teaches guest etiquette; proper guest interaction; specific cut, style and color procedures; conflict resolution; and time management. Classes are scheduled each week so employees have a set time to learn and discuss specific topics in detail. The training, conducted personally by Daired Ogle and senior staff members, provides the opportunity to ask key questions and receive hands-on experience.

“The program was created to refine the skills of our talented new stylists, while providing value-priced services to our guests,” says Ogle. “The real bonus is the teamwork that develops as each new class works together with our senior stylists to learn and develop their skills. It’s created a culture that shines through to our guests.
