Fraxel re:pair Success at the Med Spa at Daireds
The Fraxel laser treatment has created quite a buzz in the media, having been featured on Fox News, The Today Show, VH1, The Montel Williams Show, Allure, Prevention, O, The Oprah Magazine and more. Since introducing the Fraxel re:pair treatment to guests in the Spring of this year, The Med Spa at Daireds has been treating numerous guests under the care of Walter Waechter, MD and Lynda Valdez, Nurse Practitioner.
“I am very satisfied with my results, it more than fulfilled my expectations,” said Melba Todd, recently treated with the Fraxel re:pair at Daireds. “My complexion has a whole new, refreshed, tighter look. My friends say they know something is different, but they can’t quite put their finger on it.”
Fraxel is described as restoring tiny areas of the face at a fraction of skin at a time, hence its name, just as a damaged painting is delicately repaired one small area at a time. The treatment produces thousands of tiny, deep column penetrations then uses the body’s natural healing process to create new, healthy, tighter tissue to replace skin imperfections and eliminate old epidermal pigmented cells. Because the Fraxel treatment targets areas well below the skin’s outmost layer, downtime is minimal.
“I was out and about after a few days, and followed the after care instructions.” said Todd. “I look at the procedure as an investment. These days, you just can’t afford not to keep up your appearance.”
There are currently three different Fraxel laser treatments on the market, including Fraxel re:store, Fraxel re:fine, and the newest, most advanced version, Fraxel re:pair, which was just launched in the first quarter of 2008.
“There’s quite a bit of confusion regarding the Fraxel laser technology in the marketplace,” says Lynda Valdez, registered nurse for The Med Spa at Daireds. “The Med Spa at Daireds has specifically acquired the Fraxel re:pair laser – a single treatment laser that delivers the most visual results in wrinkle reduction and skin tightening.”
Immediately following a Fraxel re:pair laser treatment, patients will experience some degree of redness and swelling, which typically subside within a few days. Other temporary side effects include flaking, minor itching and a bronzed skin appearance.
“The pain was very minimal, and the staff at Daireds did everything they could to make me feel comfortable,” explains Todd. “They answered all of my questions and made me feel so at ease during the procedure. I would do it again without hesitation!”
