Daired and Carey Ogle, owners of Daireds Salon and Spa Pangéa in Arlington, TX, have been awarded with the Altruism Award by the Kupferle Health Board of The Texas Health Methodist Foundation. The Ogles were presented and honored with this award at the annual Puttin’ On the Pink Luncheon and Fashion Presentation which benefits women's health screenings, breast diagnostics and educational materials.

“This award is truly an honor, and speaks to the efforts of our staff and guests who have joined our cause,” says Daired Ogle. “Helping women in the community is something that we feel is vital, and we will continue to support the fight against breast cancer and encourage others to do the same.”

Together with their staff at Daireds Salon and Spa Pangea, the Ogles have been committed to supporting the fight against breast cancer and the fight against domestic violence in Tarrant and Dallas counties for more than 15 years. Choosing to honor those who care for women in the community every day, the Ogles have instituted a charitable mind-set with their staff and guests at Daireds through support of, and by hosting, community events.

Daired and Carey Ogle have supported Puttin’ On the Pink since 2006, when Carey joined the Kupferle Health Board. Since then, Daireds continues to be a sponsor, donating financial resources as well as salon services to the cancer survivors in the Fashion Show. The Ogles have also opened the doors of Daireds as a venue for hosting VIP parties for the event.

In addition, Daireds hosts “A Tribute to Women” twice a year, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to two local women’s shelters, SafeHaven of Tarrant County and The Family Place of Dallas. Daireds also extends an open door invitation to the women’s shelters to bring their clients for complimentary salon services as part of back-to-work programs and for spa services as a self-esteem booster. Additionally, the shelters are encouraged to take advantage of the Conference Centre at Daireds to host meetings at no cost.
